Diva's
Diva's will meet at 10:00 at the Anacortes Senior Center-1701 22nd Street. The Divas are a group of enthusiastic garment makers who use quilting techniques and various mixed media to create wearable art from purchased or created fabric. For more information contact Helen Montgomery at [email protected]
Our mission is innovative use of textiles and surface design in wearable art clothing. Many of the same construction and ornamentation techniques used in traditional quilting are used in art clothing. Divas not only produce clothing but also accessories. Our meetings are planned to challenge our innovation and learn from one another and guest programs. We employ an emphasis on sharing but we also plan challenges. We also have a great deal of fun! We meet a the Senior center on the 2nd Wednesday of the month

Diva Paper Bag Challenge
Divas opened their mystery bags for the “paper bag”challenge. Each Diva contributed an item from the back of the closet or A thrift store and placed in an anonymous bag. Then each Diva selected a bag. The challenge is to Redesign reconstruct, reconsider the garment into something Wearable.
The donor remains a mystery until September. We will post the new garments here in September.
