Sew and Sits, Quilt classes and retreats

March

29TH-Sit and Sew at the Allen Firehouse-hosted by Mary Ellen Gilmore at the Allen Fire Station, 6021 Avon-Allen Rd in Bow Wa. From 9-5pm. Unload your car in front please, then park in the South parking lot.
We serve a potluck and our theme this month is Easter Brunch.  Bring something simple and easy or as fancy as you wish.  No pressure, bring what makes you happy, or not. How about we have a deviled egg contest?  Aren't they gluten free?

You will have your own table, good lighting, outlets for all your needs and an overabundance of friendship and fun!  The Firehouse Sewers have a few items of FIQ's equipment including a very large cutting mat on which to work out all your fabric cutting needs.  The room costs $50 a day and we split that between all who attend. Please RSVP to me if you would like to come, but sign up fast as there is a limit of 16 tables. It is also a wonderful time to bring a new friend with whom to share your table because there are more chairs than tables! Looking forward to hearing from you, Mary Ellen Gilmore, 360-630-5443 or maryeg1956@gmail.com

New Group-
A friend and I are starting a hand applique/sewing/knitting/whatever-by-hand bee on the third Tuesday of each month at the La Conner Quilt and Textile Museum. We’ll be meeting from 10 am until 2 pm. We are asking for a $10 per person donation to attend which will be given to the museum as a thank you for letting us use their space and to support their efforts.

Our first handwork day is this coming Tuesday, March 21st. We would love to have you join us!

Please feel free to let guild members know about the group. We would love to have any handwork lovers join us each month.

Thank you!
Marcella
